# VAI Soft Lab > VAI Soft Lab is a one-person software studio in Sydney, Australia, run by Vahid Alamipour, an agentic AI architect and lead AI engineer. It designs and builds agentic apps (apps with AI agents inside), AI agent systems, and full web and mobile apps (web, iOS and Android). Clients in Australia and worldwide. Any technology the client wants. ## What we build - Agentic apps and agent systems: AI agents inside a product or a business process. - An app from an idea, notes or documents: from meeting notes, documents and requirements to a real web or mobile app. - AI features inside an existing product. - Fix or finish an app: a half-built app finished, including apps built with AI tools. - Agents and automation inside a team: Vahid joins a team as agentic AI architect and lead engineer, paid by the hour, adds agents and automation to how the team builds, then leaves. - Custom AI apps for daily work: a small AI app that does a team's routine computer work (quotes, orders, invoices, reports, data entry), with staff approving the important steps. Built after a short Study of how the work is really done. ## How it works 1. VAI Cortex collects everything about the project (meeting notes, documents, requirements, Slack messages, emails, PDFs), keeps learning, and writes a blueprint: a brief, a requirement pack and a design. 2. The client reads the blueprint in plain language and agrees. Nothing is built before this. 3. VAI Development, an agent team led by Vahid (project manager, designer, lead engineer, QA and developer agents), builds the real app from the blueprint. What clients get: code quality, an app that is easy to maintain, accurate (built and checked against the agreed blueprint), and secure (client code stays the client's; client data never goes into a consumer AI tool). ## Ways to work together - I join your team: paid by the hour. - I build, fix or finish your app: scope first, then time and price. - Custom AI apps for your daily work: Study first, then a fixed price, then an optional monthly plan (Care). - Partners: agencies can hand over overflow work under their own brand (pieces of work or blocks of hours, a partner rate, a non-solicit clause): https://vaisoftlab.com/partners ## VShell: a Mac app for AI agent teams VShell is a Mac app built by Vahid Alamipour at VAI Soft Lab. It is one of his tools, not the same as his agent system (VAI Cortex and VAI Development). It runs Claude Code (Anthropic), Codex (OpenAI), Cursor Agent and Antigravity (Google) in one window, in tabs, with as many AI accounts as you like, each with its own colour and icon. You can speak your prompts: a Prompt Creator asks short questions and writes a clear prompt, and speech recognition runs on the Mac itself. You talk only to the AI project manager (the PM), and the PM runs a team of AI agents on a project folder: meetings by voice or text, AI members with roles, a ticket board, a "Needs you" list for real decisions, work periods with an end timer. Team agents write only inside the project folder, and dangerous commands are blocked. Needs an Apple chip Mac (M1 or newer), macOS 14 or newer, and at least one AI tool installed and signed in; AI use is not included.
